Sinners, Prayers, Salvation

Screenshots from the film The Whale — "What I don't like about religion is that when people accept Jesus or whatever, they suddenly think that they're better than everyone else. By accepting the fact that they're stupid sinners, somehow they've become better, and they turn into assholes." - Ellie

When people sin, they turn to God for salvation. They turn to churches, sit on the pews, listen to the homilies, and utter prayers even if these are acts they don't do before. People who don't pray suddenly go to church regularly. Becoming religious, probably. Does that what it feels like to sin? Toward others?

People say God is always forgiving. But, what about those who have been pained? How long and how much farther would they talk to God, begging to be saved, begging to be forgiven, when at the beginning, they could've stopped themselves from sinning?

Hope your pleas are heard.
