Fulfilling Arrabel's Dreams

Disclaimer: We went there on a weekend – Saturday.

It has been a long dream, yes, dream, of Arra to go to the unicorn café and the nearest one from us is the one in Lilac, the House of Unicorns Café. She said she wanted to wear the onesie since it costs PHP1,000.00 if you buy one.

Lilac St. is like the Maginhawa St. of Quezon City. It’s the food street of Marikina City. The House of Unicorns Café is in front of Lilac Pure Gold.

On weekends, they do set meals. For PHP250.00 per head, you can wear onesie and that’s inclusive of meals. The set meals. You can choose from the good for one or good for two.

I ordered the set 1 while Arra and Raquel ordered the set 2 under the PHP250.00.

This was our crib.

When the food arrived, I did not know that my pasta was spicy. Good thing, Arra eats spicy stuff so she said we exchange. I got her carbonara instead.

This is going to be an honest review. Again, we went there on a weekend so the choices were few. I really wanted to eat a rice meal. I saw a post where they have a photo of the menu. They had rice meals.

I liked the carbonara, it was creamy, tasty, and all that. However, I did not like the waffle and the chicken. The waffle was plain aside from the cream (not sure if it was a whip cream) and sprinkles on top. For PHP250.00, I don’t think it was worth of Arra’s money (ARRA TREATED US! HAHAHA! Thank you, ‘tol!). Arra said the Aglio Oglio tasted good as well.

The milkshake was Vanilla (Yup!) and placed in a star-shaped glass with cream and sprikles on top as well. The serving presentation was cute but the amount was a little… small.

Starry-starry Vanilla milkshake.

But, we took a lot of photos with our onesies! They also have unicorn plushies. Some looked like the ones from Little Pony cartoon.

They also have a designated wall with unicorn painting and little horses where you can ride and play. Bunk beds as well.

Here are some of our photos, pretending to be unicorns. Sa wakas (Finally), we were able to reach Arra’s dreams! Hahahah! So if you are someone who likes themed-diners or places, and you want to take tons of photos, this is one of your places!

They got aesthetics.

Pag picture talaga ang inuna. Raquel and Arra.

Believe in whatever you wanna believe in. When it comes to unicorns.

Our food! Ayaw ko na irotate.

Do you believe in unicorns?

Ayaw pakabog. Raquel.

Gusto ba niya magka anak ng unicorn?

Ako lang talaga dapat ito. Ewan ko ba ba't sumama si Arra. Hayaan na. Pangarap naman niya ito.

Pangarap talaga ito ni Arra.

Wow. Akala mo totoong magkakaibigan.
"Mukha tayong magkakaibigang tunay dito, oh!" - Raquel

Paboritong pose ata ito ni Arra.

Me and my silly pose. May hanash ako rito pero dahil, basta. Haha!

Mukha ulit kaming magkakaibigang tunay.

Arra: Ikaw 'to? (ShareIt)
(Me: Puro na naman kami telepono.)

Hindi naman nila sinabing gusto nila magka anak ng unicorn.

Raquel and the color bars.

Candid daw sabi ni Arra. Ako pala nagsabi.

Raquel

Ang saya-saya ko naman dito.

Would I dine again in House of Unicorns Café? Yes, on a weekday.

Price: For this experience, 1/5. This might change if we go there on a weekday.

Taste: For this experience, 3/5. This might change if we go there on a weekday.

How to get there?

If you are coming from Cubao, you may ride a jeepney going to Bayan (Marikina Palengke), Philstress, Lamuan, Molave, SSS, Calumpang. Alight at Bayan or Marikina Sports Center. Marikina Sports Center is our landmark, wherever you are from, if you are not from SSS or anywhere near Lilac St.

From Marikina’s clock tower, the one in Marikina Sports Center, you can ride a tricycle from the terminal (in front of Amang Rodriguez Hospital). Just say your destination is Lilac Puregold. We were charged of PHP80.00 for that trip.

So. Was the House of Unicorns Café magical or nay? We’ll see soon. On a weekday.

All right! Stay awesome!

Mema. Your kiddobadiddo.

Photos were taken by Thea and Raquel. Thea did some post processing.
