Deleter (MMFF 2022): Nadine Was Great But That's It.

Main photo (poster) from Mikhail Red's Twitter

Predictable, jump scares galore, dark — and I meant that na literal na dark. I expected too much. 1/5

Puro dilim?

O ako ang mali na baka naman other companies really do it the way the film depicted it and iba kasi sa office namin (WR team would be angry)? Nagtitipid sa kuryente 'yan? Walang ilaw lagi?

I expected too much from Mikhail Red (and I think this is his second film that uses the camera as one of his main characters: Rekorder then Deleter). Siguro hindi lang ako fan ng horror movies. Sure, creative license na maging unrealistic kasi nga horror but didn't the story of the film call to humanize the role of his main character? It missed the opportunity na maging out of the ordinary horror film siya. Predictable ng ending (which isn't bad, by the way though some people find being predictable a flaw) as there were a lot of foreshadowing that would lead you on.

Saving grace? Nadine Lustre and Louise delos Reyes' acting. These two women's craft carried the film.

Kabadingan: Ganda ng bare face or no-make up-just-lipstick look ni Nadine. 'Yung 'pag tinanong ka ng Jojowain o totropahin? sasabihin mo agad, Jojowain with feelings! Lol.
