I woke up before my alarm did. This has been becoming of me these past few days. As I opened my eyes, the air smelled like Bananas, which was very unreal.
Nanay isn't fond of cooking breakfast. So normally, we would have pandesal (Filipino bread!) as our first meal of the day. The air smelled like fried Bananas.
It must be Auntie, the other house, who fried Bananas for breakfast. I hope I can get some when I get up.
I stayed on the bed for a few more hours. Then my little brother woke up and soon prepared for school. He asked me if I wasn't going to get ready yet because we might fight over the bathroom as he will eat first. I said, No.
My event was not until 10 A.M. And I can be there in a jiffy -- translation, with a tricycle ride. I told my boss I'd go straight to the venue since it's very near from where I dwell.
My brother went up again and asked if I won't eat yet. No. Not yet. I still like to be in my bed. With my pillows and blanky.
When I went down to take a bath, I saw fried Bananas on the table. Were these from Auntie? I asked myself. But I asked Nanay, Saan galing 'yan? (Where did those come from?)
Binili ko 'yan noong isang araw. Prinito ko na. (I bought them two days ago. I fried them for breakfast.)
As I went to the bathroom, I heard my tummy say borborygmi. I am not really fond of eating Bananas. I find them a little, uhh, usual?
I dried myself, put my clothes on. It's two hours before the event. I could still do so many things, I thought, as I looked at my dish with three fried half-Bananas with brown sugar, while I was sitting on my bed.
Yes. I eat on my bed.
As I waited for the hours before the event, I laid on my bed. Wow. What a great way to consume time.
